Broadview at Purchase College hosts grand opening

Broadview at Purchase Collage, a university-based senior living community at the State University of New York in Westchester, New York, recently marked its opening.

The concept of building senior living at the university started in 2003. Now the community is over 90% pre-leased with more than 238 residents now living on site and over 80% occupancy.

The community is set on 40-acres and includes various amenities. Twenty-percent of the community’s 174 units are set aside for low income residents and encompass 10 different floor plans.

There are also 46 villas and a single-family home with two bedrooms and a study. Shared amenities include a swimming pool, fitness center, movie theater, salon, multiple dining venues and on-site health center and more.

Cogir of Folsom recently announced completion of renovations at the property.

A new addition includes a sensory experience known as the Lake Tahoe Room to benefit memory care residents. The one-story community has two large gardens and outdoor spaces.

Aegis Living recently opened Aegis Living Laurelhurst, a new senior living community inspired by the University of Washington’s Laurelhurst neighborhood.

The community combines architecture termed “collegiate gothic” and draws from the University of Washington’s Tudor roots and craftsman-style homes in the Laurelhurst neighborhood.

Various elements of the community inside and out pay homage to the University of Washington’s history, with elements like the Avenue Theater or sports-themed Varsity pub and more.

Aegis Living Laurelhurst marks the 38th community in the Aegis Living portfolio.
