Ohio Living appoints chief development officer
Ohio Living announced the appointment of Barbara Lyon as its chief development officer on April 29.
According to a press release, Lyon brings more than 25 years of experience to the position and previously served as the corporate executive of gift planning for the Ohio Living Foundation from 2021-2022.
Before her appointment as chief development officer, Lyon served as vice president of the United Way of Delaware County for more than a decade and in 2022, she founded Lyon & Co. LLC.
Emerald Communities appoints corporate controller
Not-for-profit Emerald Communities announced the appointment of Denis Wells as its new corporate controller on May 7.
In her role, Wells will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of accounting including financial reporting, audits, tax returns, actuarial studies, payroll and financial analysis, according to a press release.
Wells brings over 25 years of experience to the position and comes to Emerald Communities after working as corporate controller at a non-profit hospital in Oklahoma.
Lifespace hires executive director
Lifespace Communities has announced the hiring of Chris Andersen as the executive director of Newcastle Place in Mequon, Wisconsin.
In his role, Andersen will be responsible for managing the day to day operations of the community.
Andersen brings 29 years of experience to the role and previously worked with Lifespace as the executive director at Beacon Hill, Claridge Court and Oak Trace from 2004 to 2013. Most recently, he served as executive director at Oakmont Senior Living for the Simi Valley and Riverpark campuses, according to a press release.
Benchmark at Mount Pleasant prepares for opening with executive director
Benchmark at Mount Pleasant, an assisted living and memory care community opening later this fall, has announced the appointment of Sara Humphreys as executive director.
In her role, Humphreys will oversee the daily operations of the community.
Humphreys joined the senior living industry in 2019 after seeing the positive impact it had on her grandmothers, and since then has worked for “some of the country’s largest senior living providers,” according to a press release. She previously served as a regional director of operations overseeing 11 senior living communities in six states.
